A Great World War II
 Mystery Solved?

Marseille, France - After the disappearance of Amelia Earhart, the demise of Antoine de Saint-Exupery (French aviator, and author of "The Little Prince") on a reconnaissance mission in WWII has long ranked as one of aviation's greatest mysteries. Now, thanks to the tenacity and luck of two amateur archaeologists, the final pieces of the puzzle seem to be filled in.  A clue first surfaced in 1998, when fisherman in a Mediterranean port, dragged up a silver bracelet in their nets bearing the names of Saint-Exupery and his New York publisher next to remains of a Lockheed Lightning P-38. Through further research, former pilot, Horst Rippert, now 86, found in Wiesbaden, told the researchers, "You can stop searching, I shot down Saint-Exupery." Some still express mild disbelief but others find the events credible.
